On February 21, 2025, a delegation led by Sake Nopthaisung, Consul General of the Kingdom of Thailand in Chengdu, visited SISU. President Dong Hongchuan met with the guests.

President Dong extended his intention to promote cooperative exchanges, aiming to facilitate faculties, students, and representatives from government and enterprises to study and exchange at SISU.

Sake Nopthaisong hoped that SISU could provide more opportunities for Thai young students to study in Chongqing.

Additionally, the delegation visited the College of Eastern Languages and Cultures, where they had friendly talk with the representatives of Thai language teachers and students, and international students from Thailand.
